We look forward to provide the community with resources such as job training/readiness, life skills, parenting and mentorship.Our goal is to provide communities with food enrichment and educational services. We will provide a holistic approach to families and communities to promote individual growth. Furthermore, we strive to address the social emotional challenges that our communities are faced with, by providing the youth with a safe and welcoming environment by the programs we provide.
Life Skills Training:
Life Skills provides adolescents, age 14-20, with the skills necessary to grow into successful, confident adults through professional counseling and vocational training. The program will connect adolescents with counselors who provide hands-on individualized life skills instruction provided in-home, in-community, and on-site.

Life Skills:
The Life Skills program addresses and focuses on social emotional learning and life skill development through its life skills component. Our curriculum also purposefully combines academics with non-cognitive expectations through means with the current life skills theme, encouraging group collaboration and consensus for academic projects, involving students in community service projects. The Life Skills Program further reinforces positive social skills through Awards where youth are publicly recognized for positive achievements and behavior.
Parent Engagement Program:
As the active engagement of a supportive parent or guardian is critical to creating a complete and positive learning environment for our students, parents/guardians are key partners in our process. In the Parent Engagement Program, parents participate in year-round activities and events designed to increase their knowledge and skills of youth development and to empower them at home.
Employment Training Programs:
A robust and qualified workforce is central to healthy communities, employers, families, and individuals. Increasing employment remains central to breaking the cycle of poverty and crime and restoring social harmony.
The UNDDCC will provide job training programs. In this training program, individuals learn the needed skills to find and retain employment. The program focuses on overcoming barriers to employment through cognitive thinking transformation, soft-skills development, professional communication, conflict resolution, time management, job search techniques, targeted resume building, interviewing techniques, handling different management styles and computer skills.
Food programs and pantry:
The Food Program is where The UNDDCC distributes bags or boxes of food directly to those in need who reside in Newark area on a weekly basis.
